Wildflowers - Colours of the Season
As
the spring turns to summer, there is a changing predominant colour to the hebridean landscape.
Verdant green turns to white, pink, yellow, building to a flamboyant finale of every colour.

On 25th June, 2006 the saltmarsh was covered with pink thrift carpets.
After two weeks of daily summer showers the predominant colour of the hills was that of the green lush grass lavishly dusted with white common cotton-grass.
The yellowing was begining around the villages.
