English Stonecrop

Sedum anglicum

Gaelic name: Biadh an t-Sionaidh

Wildflowers : English Stonecrop

English stonecrop grows on rocks and sandy soil. It flowers from June to August.

English Stonecrop is a native plant of the Western Isles.

We also get Sedum acre (wall pepper or biting stonecrop) growing on sandy or rocky seashores in the Western Isles. Wall pepper has yellow flowers and hot-tasting leaves.
