Blue Water-speedwell

Gaelic name: Blue Water-speedwell

Blue Water-speedwell has green stems, long leaves, and long blue flower spikes.It is found in quite wet places.
Flowering period June - August.
Blue Water-speedwell is a native plant of the Western Isles.
We have several speedwell species growing in the Western Isles, thyme-leaved speedwell, wall speedwell, heath speedwell (common speedwell), germander speedwell, blue water-speedwell, pink water speedwell and brooklime.
