Hebrides Islands : Eabhal, North Uist

Hebrides Islands - Eabhal, North Uist
A view of most recognisable hill/mountain on Uists taken from the Isle of Flodda, Eabhal (1139 feet). Eabhal is on the edge of a quite inhospitable but beautiful part of North Uist, and as of yet I haven't the energy to walk a couple of miles across peat bog then climb and then walk back but I would like to try. Eabhal for me is one of the first signs I recognise on the Uig to Lochmaddy sailing.
Flodda is a wee island connected to Benbecula by a causeway. The far side of the island has near guaranteed viewings of seals. The owner of the island has on the pathway an old broken car with a sign saying seals this way which takes you to the rocks to view. The picture shown was taken on a beautiful peaceful Autumn day in November, the silence on the east cost of Benbecula and Flodda just needs to be experienced, its so cleansing.
