'I collected a sick owl today, but it lived all of moments.

It had been picked up from a fishfarm in South Lochs and was totally emaciated. Just skin and bone'.

• WI: Rare or scarce breeder (1-9 breeding records)
• Breeds: Conifer plantations and woodlands
• Similar birds: Short-eared Owl
