Black-headed Bunting

- UK: Scarce Visitor
- WI: Very rare visitor (five or less records) TBC
- Breeds: Nests in tree or bush in open scrubby area or agricultural land. Lays 4-6 eggs. South-East Europe, South West Asia
- Winters: India
- Habitat: Scrub, open woodland , agricultural land
- Diet: Seeds (feeds it's young insects)
- Larger than a Reed Bunting, with longer tail.
Breeding male bright yellow below. Chestnut above. Black hood.
Female similar but duller coloured. Paler below. Grey-brown back. Head greyish.
Juvenile similar to female & both look like a Red-headed Bunting
